We were excited to have a great group of Featured Photographers for the March 18, 2023 Photography Festival! Take a look at the 2023 artists:
Alyce Bender
Alyce is an outgoing, outdoorsy adventuress who specializes in solo explorations much of the time. Her business is based out of San Antonio, TX, and in March 2020, she became a Tamron Pro Ambassador for Tamron USA. In fall of 2021, she became a Nature First Ambassador for the Texas Region as well. Her my images and writing have appeared in such publications as Outdoor Photographer, Tamron Magazine, NANPA Expressions, Landscape Photography Magazine, and Wild Planet Photography Magazine. She is also a contributing writer and photographer to the Journal of Wildlife Photography.

Charlie Favret
Charlie is an avid motorcycle rider and photographer who has a love of exploring the less traveled back roads. These journeys are about the thrill of the ride, the camaraderie of friends who share in the adventure and the wonder of the scenery that they move through. His photography draws on that same passion for the technical challenge, seeing the beauty in things around him and sharing with others. His favorite subjects are abstract flower close-ups, wildlife, nightscapes and, of course, motorcycles.

Amy Jasek
I may as well have been born with a camera in my hand, and raised in the darkroom. My father brought me up on the fine art photography of Edward Weston, Diane Arbus, and Ansel Adams. He took me shooting with him regularly and taught me how to look at light, how to see; I made my first black & white print at the age of 7. I am passionate about the natural, candid beauty of people and things. I believe street photography is a little window into the heart and soul of a place, a time, and the people in it. I seek out quiet grace in places that are often forgotten or overlooked. The world is beautiful, life is a gorgeous ongoing journey, and I try to capture that with my camera.
For my personal photography, I work almost exclusively in black & white film. Every part of the process is done by hand, by me. For client work, I am happy to use the right tool for the job, and I have a lot of them in my toolbox, including digital cameras and lighting equipment.

Rebecca is a lifestyle photographer, specializing in rodeos, farm and ranch, and western lifestyles. Capturing the authenticity and genuine spirit of the people, land, and animals is a true love of hers. Rebecca was born and raised on a fifth-generation Oklahoma farm and working cattle ranch. She enjoys spending time roaming the Texas backroads, visiting her family's farm in Oklahoma, and traveling just about anywhere in a plane, train, or automobile.

Andy is a newspaper man through and through. He graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a degree in photojournalism. After an internship at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, he spent a little time at the Tyler (Texas) Morning Telegraph, and soon moved across the state line to the Shreveport Journal, where he spent six wonderful years. Fearing the demise of the Journal, he once again moved east, to work at the Atlanta Journal & Constitution. After spending 29 years in Atlanta, Andy returned to Texas and continues his photojournalism work today, working for a variety of publications like the Williamson County Sun, the Austin American-Statesman, and Texas Highways, the state’s travel magazine.
