We are excited to announce the Georgetown Texas Photography Festival will be back March 20,2021. We will be featuring photographers in some of the businesses on the Square in beautiful Georgetown,Texas. Photo Walks will be available and maybe a few surprises. Can't wait to see everyone out there.
After a lot of thought and listening to the directives of Governor Abbott we have decided to cancel the Georgetown Texas Photography Festival scheduled for Aug 22,2020. Due to increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our photography community and our Georgetown,Texas community. We would like to thank the invited featured photographers, photo instructors and photo walk leaders and Precision Camera for their support. Hopefully we will be back in 2021. Don't forget to keep your masks on and your lens caps off. All of the plans have not been finalized but we are moving forward with the Georgetown Texas Photography Festival which had to be postponed in March 2020 due to the sheltering in place order. The event is now scheduled for August 22, 2020 still on the Square in beautiful Georgetown, Texas. The Williamson Museum is the co-host with David Valdez. We will have featured photographers in select businesses on the Square. There will be scheduled photo walks with a professional photographer leading each one. The class times and locations have had to be adjusted and are not yet finalized. Once those details have been determined, they will be posted here and on the Williamson Museum web site. This is the link when we post that information.
Can't wait to see everyone. Bring your cameras, masks and hand sanitizer. Precision Camera in Austin,Texas hosts on line photography classes. Many of them are free but even the ones you have to pay for are very reasonable. Check them out Precision Camera Below is a screen shot from the Precision Camera website.

If you want to see the behind the scenes of the Georgetown Texas Photography Festival why not volunteer. Each volunteer will be assigned to stay with one of our featured photographers and or be with the photography instructors. We also need some help moving the photo racks into the businesses on the square who are hosting a featured photographer. The racks are light weight so even I can carry one. Let me know if you are willing to volunteer.
